About Mrs. A!

I am a certified and licensed childcare provider. I have worked with young children for over 20 years and I am very passionate about young children and their growth. I am warm-hearted, energetic and genuinely enjoy teaching! My love for young children developed while teaching Children’s Church for preschool aged children. To perfect my childcare skills, I attended Delgado Community College and earned my degree in Child Development of Young Children and General Studies. Additionally, I host numerous summer camps for children ages 3-12 years old. 

Throughout the years, I have learned that young children need to go beyond just learning. Before a child can learn, they must feel comfortable in a safe and healthy environment. When a child feels safe and healthy, it fosters their social, emotional, cognitive and physical development. I feel that a positive environment is needed in order for children to fully understand love, encouragement and respect. Although it is important to teach them curriculum; we owe it to the children to understand them as individuals. At Mrs. A’s Learning and Childcare Center of New Orleans, our goal is always to provide a safe and happy learning environment while partnering with parents for the betterment of each child.
